The idea of Birthstones have been around for thousands of years. Several gems are believed to certain powers and these powers were particularly strong in certain months. Traditionally, the Stone of good luck for the user, especially if used during the month of birth.
The modern list Birthstones has no real astrological significance. It was created in 1912 by the Jewelers of America and has been amended twice since then. The idea was to create a list of the jewels that the people we meet, as some traditional birth stones are a bit weird side.

Finally, we The Blue Topaz or Tanzanite stone as December. Topaz is a very hard gem that naturally comes in a variety of colors, except blue! The blue color comes from the radiation. Tanzanite is a gemstone alternative for December. It has a bright blue with hints of violet and comes only from the African country of Tanzania.
