I saw a water filter system in someone's house some years ago that was made at home and I can not remember how they said he did. I remember there were some shiny rocks – seemed to be polished, but not luxury – in the bottom of a plastic water container. She said, if I remember correctly, they were using a filter for an aquarium that contains carbon and rocks with pieces bought from the store. They said they filled it with tap water.
