The price of the pearl depends on its quality, which in turn depends on several factors: color, shape, size, brightness, thickness and texture of the pearl nacre.
Pearl color varies from the usual white, silver and cream to green, blue, gold and black. The color of the pearl depends on the type of mollusk that produced it and water conditions. Sometimes, in the case of cultured pearls, the core type used to stimulate the mollusk can also affect the color of the Pearl's.
